About Troop 124
Boy Scout Troop 124 - Pointing the Way for 50 Years!
Since 1971, Troop 124 has been Pointing the Way! Our mission is to help young people make moral and ethical choices throughout their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and the Scout Law – facilitating life-changing experiences that foster citizenship, character and fitness!
Troop 124 maintains an active outdoor program, consisting of monthly weekend camping trips, an annual week-long summer camp, and trips to National High Adventure Bases in the Rocky Mountains and Florida Keys every two years. Our two buses and 22 canoes and equipment trailers enable us to conduct a variety of weekend trips throughout the Mid-Atlantic area at minimal cost.
Troop 124 also has a history of providing community service through an annual non-perishable food drive and multiple Eagle Scout service projects each year. With an emphasis on youth leadership, our program features activities that are both fun and meaningful. Nobody else does what we do!
